Sign Language with Babies:
Opening the door to communication with infants and toddlers
This active workshop approach for parents, caregivers, teachers and therapists will invite participants to learn useful American Sign Language words along with fun ways to bring them into the young childs world of language. Songs, fingerplays, stories and interaction games can help adults learn sign language while they are adding it to their repertoire of techniques to use with infants and toddlers.

My name is Karen Nemeth. My masters is in Learning, Cognition and Development, and I am a Level 1 Certified Sign2me presenter. I have been a child development instructor at several colleges and child care training agencies, as well as a presenter at more than 30 national and local conferences. My specialty is language acquisition and early literacy. The more I know about early learning research, the more convinced I am that sign language is a wonderful addition to our interactions with the little ones. And... each workshop is more fun than the last!
