It is is fun...and the rewards are immeasurable.

About Tricia, Educator and ASL Instructor
American Sign Language is a beautiful language Tricia has come to love and admire in both her teaching and mothering careers. Her experience with signing began upon earning a Masters degree in deaf education from Gallaudet University, the only university in the world for deaf undergraduates. Tricia then taught at the RI School for the Deaf for 3 years before having the first of her three little boys. Watching each of them use signs well before they could talk, each in his own special way, has been a delight. She have been able to observe first-hand how signing can benefit hearing children at many different stages and levels by watching her own boys, now ages 8, 7 , and 4, grow and develop over time. From reading skills to language, communication, and behavior, the use of American Sign Language has affected each child and her entire family in so many positive ways.

Tricia believes that all children, at all ages, have feelings, opinions, and ideas that need to be heard, and to teach them a language that gives them the skills to do so is a gift that any parent or caregiver should be proud and excited to give!
