Tereses’ background is in small business, she has experience in Education and over 13 years of ASL experience with Level 3 fluency. Above all, she is Mom to one school aged daughter and a preschool aged son; both children were exposed to ASL as infants and continue to sign avidly.
After signing with her daughter for just a few weeks, Terese began to see the many benefits of signing. Terese was the very first Presenter to begin in the Sign2Me Presenters Network in Canada. She is considered by many as being a pioneer in Infant Signing in Canada.
Due to the growth and reputation of Wee Sign, we currently hire and train top quality Wee Sign instructors in areas throughout Canada.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
IN-HOME SESSIONS:
Create your own class with your own friends. You determine how to divide this 3 hour session and provide the location. Min of 5 guest. The Hostess receives .00 off for each of her registrants.
INFANT SIGN CLASSES
6 week classes for parents and babies age 0 - 18 months old. Each week we cover a different topic and do lots of review, play, songs and stories.
TODDLER SIGN CLASSES
6 week classes for parents and toddlers age 18 months-4 years old. Each week we cover more in-depth topics related to toddlers everyday activities. We play games, sign songs, do crafts, and have special guests.
SING N SIGN
The Sing n Sign has lots of movement and free expression. We use the Pick Me UP! Cd to sign, mimic, gesture, dance and have fun. This is a relaxed atmosphere with lots of room for a childs creativity. For babies, toddlers and preschoolers.
PRESCHOOL CLASS
Planned for the fall for ages 3 and up. Stay tuned for more detailed information. You can pre-register to guarantee a spot in our first ever class. This class is sure to fill up quickly!
WORKSHOPS
Workshops are one time class for parents and caregivers. This class covers the same information in one session as parents would learn in the 6 week baby sign class. It is an intensive evening of learning and fun for both parents.
