Baby and toddler sign language classes with Sarah Long

"Your Baby is Trying to Tell You Something!"
Have you ever wondered what your preverbal infant is thinking? I can give you the tools to find out! Sign Language has already benefitted countless caregivers and and children alike! Teach your little one how to communicate with you months before they are able to speak. I will teach you signs and strategies to make signing with your baby fun and easy through interactive games, music, and open discussion. Each week will offer an exciting new lesson: My First Signs, Meal Time Signs, Bath and Body, Animals, and Potty Time Signs are just a few!

Please read just SOME of the benefits of signing with your baby:

* Signing allows your infant to clearly communicate specific thoughts.

* Signing dramatically reduces frustration for your baby--and for you!

* Signing will not delay language development--in fact, research shows that babies who sign usually start to talk sooner and develope larger vocabularies than non-signing babies.

* Signing minimizes the "guesswork" in meeting your child’s needs, resulting in more available time for productive, positive interaction!

Start communicating better with your child now!

Please feel free to contact me to learn more, or to reserve a spot for you and your child in a class TODAY!

Educator Profile
I reside in Topeka, KS with my husband Jason and 2 children. I work as a sign language interpreter in the educational field, and have also worked with children at the Kansas School for the Deaf. I have a warm place in my heart for the Deaf, and their beautiful language and culture.

I was very blessed to be able to stay home with children when they were very young. Due to signing, (and good stock, of course!) they were been able to communicate with us from a very young age, and their vocabulary is growing all the time! My son, my first child, used over 150 signs at one year and was/ is VERY verbal as well. I remember being so amazed when he looked at me and was able to communicate precisely what he was thinking at SUCH a young age!

Some of my other interests include photography, cooking with my husband, and of course motherhood! I am very excited to share the joy of signing with your children!
