IT’S A SIGN
Baby Sign Language Workshops and Classes by Lesa Martin, MA, CCC-A

COURSE DESCRIPTION
Lesa Martin, MA, CCC-A
IT’S A SIGN baby sign language workshops and classes provide a fun, educational and entertaining place for learning sign language skills for use in stimulating communication with infants and young children.

You will be exposed to a new way of communicating and connecting with children that allows early expression of their ideas, questions and opinions. It is possible if we provide a method of expression. American Sign Language is a simple, fun and creative means of establishing early, effective communication with babies!

Information presented and course content is based upon Joseph Garcia’s book, SIGN WITH YOUR BABY. You will hear stories and see examples of babies sharing their ideas through sign language.

It is exciting and amazing when children are given this opportunity to communicate.

We thank the babies for allowing their parents to attend this workshop designed for adults.

FOLLOW-UP CLASSES (one hour in length) are structured as a play group for parents and babies.
The Introductory Workshop is required as a prerequisite.
These informal and fun classes introduce additional signs for your expanding sign language vocabulary. Each class introduces a topic such as FOOD, ANIMALS, FEELINGS, PLAY WITH ME, HOLIDAYS and MANNERS.
Babies are welcomed and encouraged to attend with you. We will practice signing techniques with your baby and observe individuality among baby signers.

Parents, caregivers, grandparents, teachers and others interested in this amazing process are welcome to attend.
Gather your friends! Private sessions may be scheduled for groups of four or more.
