Amy Ma lives in Montreal, Quebec and is the mother of 3 kids ages 13 months to 6 yrs old who all signed before speaking. When her first child was barely a year old, she was given the link to Sign2Me's website. Intrigued, she bought Joseph Garcia's book to satisfy her curiosity. She was delighted to find her kids were less grumpy when they finally were able to tell their mother simple things such as more milk, all finished and bird. Back in 2003, classes and playgroups for hearing parents wanting to sign with their hearing babies was non-existent, so Amy took matters into her own hands and TALKING HANDS/Les mains qui parlent was born. With the use of ASL and LSQ, Amy has been sharing this gift of communication with anglophone and francophone families across the city of Montreal.
